Cambodia’s currency is Riel. The coin has not been issued for many years. The denominations of banknotes on the market are 50R, 100R, 200R, 500R, 1,000R, 2,000R, 5,000R, 10,000R and 50,000R. The circulation of US dollars ensures that you can pay any kind of expenses, so please remember to bring US dollars with you. Carrying small denominations of US dollars such as US$1, US$2, US$10, and US$20 will be very useful.
Exchange Method
People can easily exchange money at local banks such as Acleda Bank, National Bank, hotels, or money exchange shops on the street. Money exchange shops are located on many streets, easy to exchange, and the rates are acceptable, but the exchange rate at hotels is usually 5% lower.

Cambodian characters are characters with 33 consonants and 24 vowels. The phonetic rules are quite complicated. Once learners can understand the rules, they are half successful.
